The mission of Alaska Music House is to help our students build the skills they need to enjoy music for a lifetime! Learning an instrument takes dedication, but we believe the process can and should be fun! That's why music is played, after all!

The Teaching Philosophy

Music lessons have remained essentially unchanged for hundreds of years, but today's students don't think, learn, play, or work the same way as students from the 1700s -- so why should they be taught the same way?

Music House respects the best of long-standing music education traditions while constantly striving for improvement and growth. We make the most of modern technology, the latest research, and the newest curriculum to provide our students with a fresh approach that works for today's families and lifestyles.

The Team

Music House was founded by Sara Anderholm, Hallie Chiu, and David Devlin; all of whom are local musicians, business owners, and educators who have teamed up with the common goal to make Alaska more musical!
